Apartment: Arc Triomf-Almogàvers

This apartment is located just outside the trendy neighbourhood of El Borne. This area is the most fashionable and charming part of Barcelona's old town. The historic atmosphere combined with the many modern shops and cafés give this neighbourhood its unique flavour that can only be found in Barcelona. Enjoy a drink at one of the small terraces or have some of the best tapas in town in the excellent tapas bars here. El Borne is filled with museums, art galleries and historic sights to visit, like for example the Santa Maria del Mar church, the Picasso museum and the chocolate museum. Closest to the apartment are the Arc de Triomf and the wonderful Park de Ciutadella, where you can go for a romantic stroll, have a nice family picknick or row a boat on the small lake.

Just 100 mtrs. from the apartment there's the Arc de Triomf station where you can take a metro or train to any corner of the city. Trains to the Costa Brava and Costa Dorada are also leaving here, so it's an excellent base to make some daytrips outside the city. Local buses also leave here, and another 100 mtrs. further you will find the Estació del Nord where many international and national buses leave. The bus from Girona airport also arrives at this station.
