This is a peaceful area of Barcelona just a few minutes from the city. Is the former district of Gothic towers and Palaces ( Palace Valldaura y Bellesguard ) . There are still a few remains of the Bourgeois Catalana mansions but it is now a primarly a residential area for the upper middle class. It is very well communicated with the rest of Barcelona with Metro lines 4 and 6. Be sure not to miss the Parc del Laberint d’Horta, a lush green area with a special charm of its own, where you can lose yourself in the topiary maze and spend a pleasant couple of hours.
