Luminous Barcelona apartment in Poble Nou

This recently decorated apartment includes 2 bedrooms and a gorgeous balcony. It is ideal to accommodate up to 6 people with 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other one with 2 single beds. The Living-room has a sofa-bed for 2 persons, a table with chairs, TV and exit to the balcony. The kitchen is full-equipped with fridge, oven, microwave, washing-machine, toaster and kitchenware. There is also one bathroom with bathtub. The apartment is also equipped with air conditioning and heating systems.

This apartment in Barcelona is in one of the safest areas in the city, located between Diagonal Mar and Villa Olimpica. Well connected: it is only 2 streets away from the Metro station “Llacuna”, and 10 minutes from the city center. Towards the sea, there are several smaller streets and public squares. This is mainly a commercial zone, with plenty of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and leisure centers. In addition you have the beach 5 minutes walking away.

Situated between Poble Nou and the Eixample Dret, is this old Industrial area of Barcelona. Thanks to the Olympic games of 1992 and above all the Forum 2004 this area has undergone a radical transformation. Perhaps the most important transformation is the opening of the Avenida Diagonal, the city’s most important motorway which crosses its length, all the way until the sea. The old factories have been torn down and transformed into modern housing complexes and modern office buildings. New commercial centers, pedestrian walkways and green areas have all been opened. The new nerve center of the “barrio” is las Gloria. This area beholds numerous green zones, parks and is very well communicated by metro (Line 1 y Line 2) and by bus and by the trolly (Trambesos)

This apartment was in a great location in Poblenou, just round the corner from the Ramblas (lots of cafes and restaurants) and really near the beach too. The apartment itself was comfortable and clean. It would have benefited from a kettle and the advertised stereo turned out to be the DVD player linked to the TV, but otherwise we had a great stay.
