Barcelona is reknown for its mediteranean cuisine and top quality restaurants.  Eating "Spanish " style means that the day's largest meal is taken around 14.00 and lasts until 15.30. During this time most offices and shops are closed while restaurants are packed and serve up the "Menu del Día".  The "menu" consists of an entree, main course with bread, desert and drink (wine,beer,water,fanta).  The price of the menu can range from 6 € to 10 € depending on the locality and type of food served. Dinner is usually eaten around 21.00 - 21.30 and is often a lighter meal of salad and "tortilla".  But while you are on vacation you shoud take advantage the well priced, pleasent and high qualiy restaurants that Barcelona has too offer.
