Barcelona's port and the old harbour, which is dominated by the 68 m high Christopher Columbus statue, are just a short walk away. This second largest city in Spain houses the Barri Gotic, the gothic quarter, which features the wonderful cathedral of St Eulalia, the Placa del Rei and the Frederic Marés museum. Further highlights include the Parc Güell and the Picasso Museum. It is a stone's throw to access public transport which facilitates a tour of the city. Barcelona airport is around 17 km away.
