Built in the 15th century, the historical hotel with its avant-garde architectural style blends perfectly into the beautiful surrounds, being totally incorporated into this small universe characterised by its diversity. Lying in an agricultural area, with cereal fields, fruit trees, rice plantations and vegetable gardens, and distinctive rows of cypress trees, the hotel exists in complete harmony with the sea, its bays, beaches and cliffs, and all this at the foot of the imposing Montgrí Mountain that is crowned by a medieval castle. A total of 19 rooms are on offer to guests, of which 4 of the double rooms and 1 of the junior suites are housed in the old, carefully refurbished 15th century mill. A further 9 double rooms and 1 junior suite are housed within the new buildings and the remaining rooms (3 suites) are located in the hotel's gardens. One of the suites is annexed to the mill. Facilities include a lounge with a wood fire, a 24-hour reception desk, a multi-use hall in the middle of the gardens and fields, a museum/ library, a garden terrace, a bar, a restaurant with a terrace offering regional dishes and a workshop for cleaning and repairing bicycles. Fees apply for use of the car parking.
The hotel is located in the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí in the Baix Empordà county on a plain where the Medas islands meet the estuary of the River Ter and the Montgrí Mountain. The 6 km long sandy beach lies directly in front of the Medas islands. It is just a short distance to the municipalities of Pals, Ullastret and Peratallada. The resort centre is 1 km away.

The well-equipped rooms cater for the needs of all guests, each coming with a bathroom, air conditioning and a safety box as well as a telephone, an Wi-fi Internet connection, a plasma screen TV and a minibar.
