Bars and cafés

Barcelona is well known for its nightlife!  If you’re wondering where to go on a Friday night (or any other day of the week), please continue reading further.
The city is filled with cafés and bars which turn into hip and trendy bars and clubs as the night approaches. You’ll be happy to enjoy your time until dawn and to come home in the early hours.

The majority of the bars in Barcelona are mainly located in the districts Barri Gòtic or El Born. The Raval is also famous for its great choice of places to have a beer or a mojito. However, the only difference is that this district is less safe than Barri Gòtico or El Born.
Even if Barcelona is in the same time zone as most of the European countries, you might think that the Catalan capital has around 2 hours time difference. Here dinners normalyl starts at 10pm and nightlife at around 1am. Most bars are open until 2 or 3am, and some of them until 5am during the weekends (2.30am during the week). For those of you who don’t want to go to a nightclub, feel reassured that there are hundreds of musical bars where you’ll be able to enjoy music.
